Conventional or Alternative? Bet Your Life

My sister’s first chemo treatment was yesterday.

This follows her first radiation treatment of the day before. She’s about to endure the consequences of a lifelong smoking habit.

Her husband lost his battle a year ago in June at the same facility from a bad reaction to the chemo, complicated by his cancers. Hence, her conversation with me yesterday giving me all relevant info and contacts in case the same was in store for her.

However one feels about smoking and smokers, nobody deserves to die by increments or be treated with toxic substances because better ways have not been sufficiently researched and/or endorsed. Likewise, the billions of dollars and countless scientific efforts to discover a cure for cancer  when, by recently reported indicators, it looks like cancer could, in fact, be a virus. Yet any efforts to embrace and advocate for non-toxic, homeopathic treatments and solutions can only happen either under the radar or with the guarded sanctioning of the pharma industry and its subordinated agencies of medical oversight (i.e. the AMA, etc.)

Hence, the nearly non-existent advocacy for the health and well being of patients who are administered the officially sanctioned toxic medical protocols and procedures currently used. Treatments that even chemotherapists said, in a survey reported by the L.A. Times, they would not personally use if diagnosed with cancer. That begs the question of what they would use instead to cure it. Not sure that survey has been taken yet, but if they wouldn’t use chemo, there must be another protocol option they’re not sharing at least publicly.

Meanwhile, my sister and other patients like her, out of fear and not knowing what else to try that’s medically covered, bet their lives on the toxic solution in hope that they will survive the Big C – and big pharma.
